DH registar zamišljen je kao jedinstvena nacionalna platforma putem koje će svaki znanstvenik, djelatnik iz baštinskog sektora ili bilo koji drugi zainteresirani građanin moći doći do relevantnih informacija o institucijama koje djeluju u segmentu humanistike, umjetnosti i kulture te o humanističkim znanstvenim projektima, digitalizacijskim projektima, digitalnim zbirkama, digitalnim alatima i drugim srodnim sadržajima. Platforma trenutno obuhvaća registar hrvatskih arhiva, knjižnica, muzeja, kazališta i interpretacijskih centara te međunarodno dostupnih digitalnohumanističkih alata. Metodologija za izradu pojedinih registara počiva na preuzimanju podataka i pripadnih metapodatkovnih shema iz postojećih i verificiranih registara kao što su Upisnik knjižnica u Republici Hrvatskoj ili Očevidnik kazališta Ministarstva kulture i medija RH te na njihovu proširenju i nadogradnji sukladno potrebama struke i potencijalnih korisnika. Platforma se prije svega temelji na podatcima koji nastaju na nacionalnoj razini, no postoji mogućnost za implementaciju relevantnih međunarodnih setova podataka ili cijelih registara.
Upravo kako bi se održala relevantnost i osigurala održivost DH registra neophodna je komunikacija s njegovim korisnicima, odnosno njihova povratna informacija i aktivan ulog u obliku suradnje. DH registar stoga poziva znanstvenike i stručnjake iz područja umjetnosti i humanističkih znanosti te AKM zajednice da se uključe u rad na postojećim registrima i njihovu evaluaciju, ali i da predlože izradu novih registara ako smatraju da za tim postoji potreba.
The DH register is designed as a unique national platform where every scientist, heritage worker or any interested citizen will be able to access relevant information about institutions operating in the fields of humanities, arts and culture, as well as the information about humanities research projects, digitisation projects, digital collections, digital tools and other related content. Currently, the platform encompasses registers of Croatian archives, libraries, museums, theatres, interpretation centres, and internationally available DH tools. The methodology for compiling individual registers is based on aggregating the data and related metadata schemes from existing and verified registers, such as the Register of Libraries in the Republic of Croatia or the Theatre Registry of the Ministry of Culture and Media, and on expanding and upgrading them to meet the needs of professionals and other potential users. The platform is primarily based on data generated at the national level, but there is a possibility for implementing relevant international data sets or entire registers.
In order to maintain relevance and ensure the sustainability of the DH register, it is necessary to communicate with its users, i.e. to get their feedback and promote their active role in the form of cooperation. The DH register therefore invites scientists and experts in the field of arts and humanities and from the GLAM community to get involved in the work on existing registers and their evaluation, but also to suggest the development of new registers if they see the necessity.
